Rescuing kitties is our mission

Every kitty we save comes with their own story—often one of hardship, of being lost, or left behind, but always one filled with hope. They arrive in our care looking for nothing more than a gentle touch, a warm corner, and a second chance.

We aim to give each and every one a happy ending, matching their unique personalities with loving, safe, forever homes.

This year is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting chapter for NoCo Kitties! We are opening our doors and hearts wider than ever, expanding our foster network to rescue, rehabilitate, and support even more cats in need of a fresh start.

But we cannot write these happy endings alone. We could not do it without the incredible NoCo Kitties family of supporters, fosters, and volunteers who turn stories of rescue into stories of love.

WHAT WE DO

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

One of our primary goals is to end domestic and feral feline overpopulation and suffering through trap-neuter-return in our local communities and neighborhoods.

Cat & Kitten Socialization

We socialize cats and kittens who are tame-able to become adoptable. Most of the kitties we’ve rescued from abandonment, hoarding, and feral communities have successfully been socialized.

Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinics

Due to the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19, all spay-neuter clinics have been suspended until further notice.

Foster Program

Our fosters provide love, care and socialization for kittens until they're big enough for spay/neuter and adoption. We provide all supplies.

Barn Cat Rehoming

We offer integration strategies and placement for feral, unadoptable cats needing a safe barn home and maintain a rigorous approval process, including a site visit and support.

Kitty Adoption Program

We offer kittie adoptions. We showcase adoptable cats & kittens on our website and social media accounts. Follow us for the latest updates!

Local Shelter Support

We work with local shelters to rehome their working cats into approved barn homes.

Community Education & Support

We offer education and resources to Colorado residents to solve common pet issues and assist our community through all of the above services.

Who We Are

Davida duPont-Potter, founder/director of NCK volunteered for a trap-neuter-return group (TNR) in 2012. She was hooked after the first few spay/neuter (S/N) clinics on the notion that the true ending to feline overpopulation and suffering began with TNR. Almost all kittens that enter shelters are born outside!

Since then, NCK has become an all-volunteer organization dedicated to supporting cats/kittens in underserved communities where TNR is most needed. NCK support includes set up and training for TNR, low cost s/n for feral and community cats, food resources for colony caretakers and all aspects of rescue, foster and rehoming of feral and friendly cats.

We are dedicated to cats and kittens in Colorado, Wyoming and western Kansas. We have helped find homes for thousand of cats, with thousands more to come!

With our new facility opening in Loveland in 2022, which includes a spay neuter clinic, we look forward to assisting many more surgeries, adoptions and feral placements in the coming year.

Our success is due to our partnerships in these communities, Humane Society of Weld County and the many TNR groups that work long hours to trap and monitor these colonies. Together we are making a difference!
